S.A.D.D. is a National Organization which stands for Students Against Destructive Decisions. Originally, the mission of the SADD chapter was to help young people say “NO” to drinking and driving. Today, the mission has expanded.
Students say that positive peer pressure, role modeling and environmental strategies can prevent other destructive decisions and set a healthier, safer course for life.
Organizations need new members to bring fresh energy and ideas; this is especially true for our High School Chapter of SADD. We encourage you to attend a meeting. There are many ways in which a S.A.D.D. club can get involved in the school community. In the past, S.A.D.D. club at Shenendehowa has been involved with the Chain of Life at Homecoming, the Contract for Life, S.A.D.D. week, and Safe Spring. In order to plan and coordinate activities, however, we need students to get involved.
